Massaglia) months: aprile-maggio-giugno 2016 --------------------------------------------------- Research activity/Publications in the current year (max characters 2500) - Analysis of data collected during LHC Run 2 in Pb–Pb collisions at \sqrt{s} =5 TeV is under progress. The main goals will be a competitive measurement of D+s-meson nuclear modification factor and of the elliptic flow of D+s mesons, never measured before. These measurements are meant to constraint the models describing the hadronization of charm quark inside the Quark-Gluon Plasma. - Re-analysis of pp data collected during LHC Run 1 at \sqrt{s} =7 TeV, that will be used as pp reference measurements for Run 2 analysis. I developed a more precise estimate of the track-reconstruction efficiency, that will be from now on applied in future analysis, and that allows a better estimate of systematic uncertainty related with this efficiency. An accurate study about the method of beauty feed-down component subtraction for D-meson cross-section measurements was also carried out. Thanks to this studies and to improved calibration and tracking algorithm from the latest raw data reprocessing, this analysis allowed a reduction of statistical and systematic uncertainties of at least a factor 2 in the full pT-range analysed. - I take care of the operations and of the offline calibrations of the Silicon Drift Detector, which is constituted by the two middle layers of Inner Tracking System of the ALICE experiment. I also made studies for the optimisation of the zero suppression algorithm which is used for raw data compression and noise reduction.
